Client Service Director / Head of Retail

Aligned with the growth strategy for The North Alliance (NoA), NoA Ignite is seeking a Client Service Director/ Head of Retail to play a key role in fostering client relationships and driving business expansion. 

It is a commercial role, and you’d be responsible for driving revenue growth, meeting sales targets, and developing growth strategies for retail as an industry focus for NoA Ignite. This position focuses on maximizing commercial value, expanding market presence, and ensuring profitable delivery of services.

As Client Service Director / Head of Retail, you’ll drive growth by combining strategic insight with a passion for outstanding customer experiences enabled by digital technology. You stay on top of retail trends — from personalization and omnichannel commerce to emerging digital experience platforms. You’ll advise clients on digital transformation roadmaps, customer experience, and the intelligent use of data and AI to help our clients reach their goals. By translating retail challenges — like shifting consumer behaviors and increasing competition — into actionable digital strategies, you’ll help shape the future of modern commerce. You will drive the development of our point of view on the retail industry, proposals, presentations, and pitches for major contracts in collaboration with other NoA agencies.

The Role as Client Service Director / Head of Retail

You will be in the very center of NoA Ignite’s commercial activities - ideally bringing a skill set across digital and data platforms, CMS, digital design, UX/UI, and web development processes and methodologies. Knowledge and project experience in marketing technology, data integration, and digital platforms in the retail space will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities and Success Metrics


Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet targets and drive growth, especially within the retail industry

  • Collaborate with the design-, data- and development teams to ensure successful project delivery, meeting client expectations and timelines

  • Understand clients' business objectives and challenges, and provide solutions that meet their needs

  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any issues or challenges in a timely manner

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in retail, best practices, and competitive landscape, and provide recommendations to improve our service offering

What we are looking for

Both the strategic mindset to identify business opportunities and the technical ability to advice clients and guide internal teams

  • Knowledge about and experience with e-com platforms and CMSs in complex client/project environments.  Some experience delivering platform development projects, preferable with a MACH architecture. 

  • Understanding Design Thinking as a business development tool alongside being familiar with UX/D processes.

  • Experience managing full project lifecycles; from pitch and proposal to delivery - meeting client goals and internal capabilities

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functional across the NoA family to create comprehensive solutions

  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with a focus on growing lasting client partnerships.

  • Excellent communication skills towards clients and in motivating high-performing teams - having the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

  • Fluent in Danish and English speaking and writing
